Transitions XTRActive Lenses Provide Fashion and Function

At Hicks Brunson Eyewear we love to fit Transitions XTRActive lenses on our clients for the extra blue light protection that they provide. An awesome bonus is that these are the only Transitions lenses that activate behind the windshield. This is due to the special blend of photochromic dyes in this lens that are reactive to both UV light and visible light. The picture of me above was taken when I recently wore my Transitions XTRActive lenses on a road trip to visit family on Thanksgiving.  I paired the grey lens color with a frame called Teory 1 by Face A Face.  The Teory frame is designed to give the appearance of floating lenses inside a black outline.  This frame and...

New Transitions Colors On Point With Style Trends

New Transitions colors are keeping up with lens tint trends in eyewear.     In early August I sent off my favorite Masunaga titanium aviator (model 9001) to the Transitions HQ in Florida to fill my prescription in a new Transitions technology yet to be released.  I was super excited to receive my sunglasses back.   The color I chose changes from light grey to dark grey with a blue mirror.  I have been wearing them all week and I am totally digging the vibe of this new color.  When worn indoors or in low light they are a nice shade of light grey, something the likes of which Robert Downey Jr. would wear.  When you take them out into the sun they...

Face a Face Alium Fit Y

Face A Face has further expanded their awesome Alium series to include several new shapes in a thinner frame front and temple design.  I love the concept!  The aluminum material is already super light and comfy, and now they are even lighter.     I chose to pair the Alium Fit Y 1 model with Transitions Signature Grey lenses.  The rounded aviator shape with flat top bar looks fantastic as a sunglass, which is one reason I chose Transitions lenses.  You want your eyewear style to suit your personality, and I love a timeless look.  I especially love when designers take a classic look and modernize it in fun colors like Face A Face has done with this and some of...
