Cirque Creative Libations

So I recently discovered this great coffee shop near downtown Tulsa called Cirque Creative Libations.  I stopped there last week to take a break from the daily grind, and it's a really cool place.  The vibe is industrial, warehouse and the staff was super friendly.  I ordered an Americano, which reminded me of my tour of Italy last summer and all the coffee shops there.  It seems they have recently introduced a variety of cocktails to their menu adding a whole new drink experience to the Cirque experience.  I'll definitely be back for a night cap.    Of-course I brought more than just my Masunaga specs.  I also brought my favorite bold look by The Born in Brooklyn Spectacle Co....

Punk Him 2 by Face A Face

Rock n' Roll!  This week I'm showcasing Punk Him 2 by Face A Face. These sunglasses, with their red plaid and silver studs,  have an edgy style and energy fit for Dicky Barrett of The Mighty Mighty Bosstones. Punk rock and ska all the way to the core, Punk Him 2 was created by actually layering plaid fabric in-between the front and back sections, made from zyl-acetate, giving the frame a depth and texture that just can't be matched with other techniques. While wearing the frame I noticed that it felt light and comfortable while still offering good coverage. The lens has a brown gradient tint with a backside anti-glare coating. HBE Photo Shoot

Earlier this year I decided to produce a ‘behind the scenes’ video for an eyewear fashion photo shoot.  My first thought was to use a scenic venue like WoodwardPark or the DresserMansion.  I then stumbled upon a photography studio in downtown Tulsa in a sixty year old building with perhaps as much history as Hicks Brunson Eyewear.  What a perfect fit. I wanted to do more than just show what happens at a fashion photo shoot.  I wanted to tell our story.  It is the story of a Tulsa tradition that began in 1929 and continues today.
