Sexy Sunglasses by Tom Davies

Tom Davies has a new sunglass for women that is fun and sexy.  It is a bit of a cross between a butterfly shape and a cat shape.  It emphasizes that classic cat-eye lift, while at the same time having angles like the wings of a butterfly.  The beauty is in the design, and the design exudes high fashion.  It comes from Tom’s Portobello collection, which was named after Portobello Road in London.      There is a thin strip of titanium that runs along the brow line of the frame that is black, while the rest of the eye wire is dark gunmetal.  Alisha, pictured above is wearing the black and gunmetal color.  The style is also available in a...

Cat-Eye Glasses

Every once in a while, a hot cat-eye shape comes along that perfectly flatters a woman's face.  The new Sunset Park by Born In Brooklyn is one such shape.  For a more in depth look at the Born In Brooklyn collection see my previous blog post.  For a brief history of the cat-eye read on.    The cat-eye shape traces its’ roots back to the 1950’s and 1960’s.  Known for having upswept corners near where the temples attach to the frame front, the cat-eye shape was put forward by designers to add a bit of femininity to eyewear styles that had previously been mostly round.  The reason for this was to introduce a fashion element for women, where previously glasses...
