Bedford-Stuyvesant by Born In Brooklyn

Bedford Stuyvesant by Born In Brooklyn Spectacle Company Rectangle Plastic frame

What do Jay Z, Aaliyah, and Bobby Fischer have in common?  They all hail from Bedford-Stuyvesant, a little Brooklyn neighborhood of roughly 153,000 people.

According to Wikipedia, in July 2014 The New York Times wrote that the area was "diverse and changing" and that, "The sprawling Brooklyn neighborhood of Bedford-Stuyvesant is famous for its African-American heritage and beautiful brownstone architecture."

The Bedford-Stuyvesant frame was created by designer Tom Cody, who was born in Brooklyn, as the namesake of his latest eyewear collection implies.

The thing I love about the Born In Brooklyn brand is that this collection is bold and diverse much like Brooklyn itself.  The seven barrel titanium hinge was designed to look like the Brooklyn Bridge.  Click here to see it.
