Maui Jim Hula Blues

Hicks Brunson Eyewear - The HBE Perspective - Blog - Maui Jim - Vinylize - Sunglasses

New limited edition Hula Blues Maui Jim sunglasses are here.  This is a collab that I was super excited to learn about.  Maui Jim has teamed up with a small independent eyewear brand out of Hungary called Vinylize that makes eyewear by handcrafting vinyl records into eyewear frames.  How cool is that!  The inlay of this limited-edition frame is detailed with artwork inspired from the original 1923 sheet music booklet from the original Hula Blues song written by Sony Cunha and John Avery Noble back in 1919.  You can find it on YouTube, and if you are planning a luau themed backyard party this summer you should definitely include it on the playlist.  Check out the video at the bottom of this page to see the frames being made.

Of course, this new design would not be complete without Maui Jim’s signature Polarized Plus 2 lens technology.  You won’t have to worry about harmful UV light or glare from the road or the water this summer with these cool shades.  The lenses are made of Maui Jim’s SuperThin Glass, and are available in both Neutral Grey and HCL Bronze polarized colors.

Only a select few Maui Jim retailers stock these limited edition frames, and Hicks Brunson Eyewear is proud to be one of them.  Call us (918-743-6478) or visit our store in Tulsa if you are interested in ordering.
