MASUNAGA - 000
This bold rectangular design by Masunaga features solid seven-barrel hinges.
Since founding the optical industry of Fukui, Japan in 1905, a meticulous craftsmanship is evident in the countless steps of the manufacturing process. Masunaga does not rush the process. No shortcuts are taken, no compromises are made in the creation of each MASUNAGA frame.
Featuring beautifully hand polished Japanese acetate, durable seven barrel hinges, and distinctive silver rivets, the MASUNAGA collection confirms what Masunaga Optical has achieved over the past century.
The model number 000 represents “the beginning” because it is a reproduction of “Custom 72” which was the inspiration source of the MASUNAGA Collection.
In 1970, the Custom 72 was placed in a time capsule at the World’s Fair at the Osaka Expo. The birth of the MASUNAGA Collection is a tribute to the “Custom 72’s” classic and timeless design.
