"When you create glasses, you have to work on the technical aspect, the organic aspect, the morphology, the design. It's a very complete product that is within our possibilities. We are constantly developing our own tools, prototypes and methods to offer truly unique frames."

Lucas de Staël use sophisticated laser-cut machines to cut organic inlays. Their workers then meticulously apply those materials to the frames. Working with unique materials is their trademark. It adds an authentic taste to their creations. Some materials incorporated into their eyewear include cow leather, iguana skin, eel skin, stone, and titanium.

The skilled members of their team and the efficient tools they use allow them to offer grade A products. Every small step of their production process is conducted with extreme precision to bring their collections to life with the most reliable results. Cherishing their materials is one of their mottos: they work with exceptional materials to make exceptional frames.

By combining traditional French know-how with an innovative mindset, the Lucas de Staël workshop is perpetually redefining itself, bypassing and pushing the limits and rules of eyewear manufacturing. Due to their multidisciplinary approach, prototypes and patented processes are developed before actual production can start.

Mineral, vegetal and animal materials are reinterpreted and magnified in the workshop. Every single frame is structured around a plate made of high quality surgical stainless steel and covered with a thin layer of titanium.
