MASUNAGA x KENZO TAKADA - Taka (Sun)
This retro-inspired navigator frame design is from the Masunaga x Kenzo Takada collection. It features a double-layered front made from titanium, includes ornate etching along the edge-rim and temples, and features adjustable nose pads.
Masunaga x Kenzo Takada is a collaboration between fashion designer Kenzo Takada and Masunaga, a leading Japanese eyewear manufacture. Masunaga designed by Kenzo Takada sunglasses and optical frames combine vintage inspired elements with fashion forward contemporary design. Delicate engraving on the bridge, the bar and the temples are reminiscent of 1920’s jewelry details. The stylized rim is designed with the star motif from MASUNAGA GMS and Kenzo Takada’s family emblem, the campanula flower.
Since founding the optical industry of Fukui, Japan in 1905, a meticulous craftsmanship is evident in the countless steps of the manufacturing process. Masunaga does not rush the process. No shortcuts are taken, no compromises are made in the creation of each MASUNAGA frame.
