Sometimes it's the little things that get me. Little things like the brow bar on the new Masunaga GMS-106. It slightly dips down over the bridge, which flows nicely with the smaller rounded aviator shaped lenses. Sometimes you just know a good design when you see it, and I can say that the designers at Masunaga nailed it with the GMS-106.
The engraving work around the eyewire of the lenses and along the temples is beautiful. The tortoise shell acetate lining on the bridge and the temples adds character to the titanium design.
This model is the latest from the GMS series, which is a range of styles that pay tribute to designs that the company made in the early 1900's in Japan. This is evident in the smaller size. There are so many unique designs happening in eyewear right now, but it is clear that at present metals are trending pretty heavily. For those of you looking for this retro metal look you will find plenty of choices to feast your eyes on in the Masunaga collection.
