NY Life by Masunaga
This week I am taking a closer look at one of Masunaga’s most popular new models called New York Life.
If you’ve been paying attention to trends in eyewear you will notice that things seem to be sliding toward a thinner more minimal wire rim look. New York Life by Masunaga exemplifies this look while paying tribute to the art deco scene of New York in the 1920’s.
NY Life offers up an image of sleek sophistication and refined taste as an alternative to the bolder, heavier horn rim look that we have seen so much of for the past few years. I love the subtle details like the titanium nose pads and the etched line that runs along the bridge and temples. This is your more mature look. This is a look for the grownups, and I’m not talking about age so much as personality and temperament. Don’t we all have a time and place where we need this look? Maybe for that job interview or that meeting with a new client where you need to convey your confidence and intelligence.
