Valentine's Day Gift Ideas
Well, well, well... it's that time of the year again. Valentine's Day is fast approaching, and you may be asking yourself, "What do I get for that special person in my life? The one who loves eyewear?" Now, at this point you may also be asking yourself if my question was a little overly-specific and presumptuous. I am inclined to agree with you, but now it's too late! I've already gotten your attention and, if you please, I'd like to make a few suggestions.
This first frame (pictured above) is a twist on the modern cat-eye sunglass. The Bocca Divine 1 by Face A Face is an artful combination of zyl acetate and titanium. I especially like this gold and red pair here. It features gradient tinted lenses with a backside anti-reflective coating, something I consider a must on sunglasses, as it helps with any bounce back glare from indirect light sources. Cute sunnies!
This next frame is from the Vintage Collection by Etnia Barcelona. The collection comes from Spain, and the influence on the design of the collection is evident. This style is a cat-eye in a light-tortoise color with hints of amber. Very nice!
Next I have something for the guys: A double-bar metal sunglass with blue-mirrored lenses for a look that can go with any level of dress, suit to sneakers. This is 9004 by Masunaga, a Japanese eyewear collection that dates back over a century. I love the blue mirror on these!
Last on the list is this titanium double-bloc design by English designer Tom Davies. Red and black and lightweight, this design is one of many excellent combinations. The Tom Davies collection also offers a bespoke program to custom design your own frame. Pretty sweet!
All these frames are available either in our web-store or at our Utica Square location. Thanks for reading!
