Tom Davies Horn Collection
I am so excited about our new Tom Davies buffalo horn frames that recently arrived at the store. My favorite one is model TDH004.
It’s the color. It is a beautiful variation of beige, brown, and caramel that flows from top to bottom on the frame front. This design is a triple laminated front, meaning that three horn sheets were actually laminated together to produce a single piece. That is how a lighter coloration was made on the front and the colors then become darker on the inlay portion closest to the face. The temples are black and come from Indian water buffalo. Most of the colors in the horn collection come from Indian horn, while the white color comes from African horn. Some of the frames have the Tom Davies beta titanium temple which makes for an exceptionally comfortable fit. There are a variety of classic shapes from clean rectangles, such as the style I am wearing above, to the classic P3 (pictured below)
There is an adorable cat-eye as well:
I just love the craftsmanship in the horn making process. The artisans at the Tom Davies workshop are producing frames that are beautiful and natural looking, and they come from sources that are farmed and sustainable. It is much lighter weight than a plastic frame, and it is hypoallergenic. This means that horn is the perfect choice for those looking for a supremely comfortable fit, but do not want to compromise on style. I have included pictures below of the rest of the horn frames that we currently have in stock at our store.
